Henrik Lundqvist became the New York Rangers all time saves leader and the first goalie in the NHL history to record 30 wins in 10 of his first 11 seasons, and Chris kreider scored the tie breaking goal in the third period of a 2-1 victory against the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade centser on thursday. Lundqvist made 35 saves to give him 17,404, surpassing Mike Ricter (17,379.). Lundqvist also moved into third place in NHL history for seasons with 30 or more wins with his 10th after defeating the Blues. Lundqvist also tied Tom Barraso for 16th place with his 369th victory. "You know the names im up there with and obviously its a huge honor." Lundqvidst said. "Growing up, those guys were guys i was watching and now im up there with wins. to me, its just a sign of ive been given a chance for a lot of years. This orgnization, when i came, ive been lucky to play with a lot of good players and been able to have a copetitive team every year. Im really happy about that." Kreider scored his 12th of the season from the slot at 4:18 of the third period off a backhandpass from oscar Lindberg "It was hard, it was an effort play". Kreider said.
